MOVING GRATE STEAM BOILERS

In this system, firstly, the volatile gases of the fuel are released and when the fuel comes on the grate, high-efficiency combustion occurs because the pure carbon state of the fuel remains. In addition, the decomposed volatile gases interact with the secondary air and these gases are also burned. The secondary combustion air is fed to the hopper by an external flap or gasification air fan. Thus, maximum efficiency is obtained.

The moving grate material used in the system is high chrome-nickel alloy casting. The furnace temperature is around 950-1050 C. All units in the grate mechanism have a plug-in pin connection and modular structure. The drive is given to the grate group by means of the camshaft. It is driven by a hydraulic unit. In the lower part of the movable grate, there are chassis made of sheet material or profiles, and ash chambers. The grate system can be intervened from this part or from the part where the upper curtain pipes are located. The fore-hearth system, which is built on a movable grate, consists of water pipes. The quality of the pipes used is St35.8 seamless drawn steel pipe conforming to DIN 2448 EN 10216-2. All holes drilled in the collector pipes are made by laser/plasma method in pipe/profile processing/cutting machine. According to the fuel grain size to be burned, the fuel bed height on the grate can be adjusted with a mechanical drawer system. The correct refractory application in the moving grate system increases the combustion efficiency.
